Attracting new customers to Leicester’s Sunnyside Garden Centre

The Client

Sunnyside Garden Centre is based in Ibstock, just outside Leicester, offering a fantastic garden centre, together with an in-house restaurant.

The Challenge

The smart guys at Sunnyside Garden Centre recognised the need to add additionalΒ revenue streams into the business, increase footfall and improve dwell-time, as wellΒ as appealing to a different demographic, all with the aim of generating more revenue and profit.

The answer? Soft play.

What We Did

We designed and installed a five-tier soft play frame, which they’ve housed in aΒ separate building with its own cafΓ©.

Complete with an astroslide, a drop slide, baby and toddler area and a football pitch,Β as well as the usual high quality soft play suspects, this soft play area is aΒ destination in its own right.

The Result

Sunnyside Garden Centre now appeals to a much broader target market, bringingΒ more people in through the doors and increasing revenue and profit.

Crucially, the separation of the existing cafΓ© and restaurant means that they haven’tΒ eaten their own lunch – the previous demographic are still happy, and the newΒ customers they’re attracting are walking through the retail section and spending on their way out.
