When a prime location sits empty, it’s not just unused space, it’s a missed opportunity. With Planet Volt in Radstock, we turned a forgotten building into the heart of family fun, creating an indoor play destination that’s become essential to the site’s appeal and a magnet for the local community.
Planet Volt Radstock needed more than just an attraction, they needed a revenue driver that would enhance their on-site hotel experience while drawing families from across the region. With ambitious plans but an underutilised building, they were looking for specialists who could see potential where others saw problems.
The disused building had good bones but zero purpose. Planet Volt wanted to create something special enough to compete with established play venues, versatile enough to serve hotel guests and day visitors, and compelling enough to attract school groups and repeat family visits. The space needed to work hard from day one.
We designed and installed a multi-level play structure that maximises every square foot. The main attraction features slides, ball pools, suspension bridges, bash bags, and an interactive zone that keeps older children engaged and active. Recognising that families come in all ages, we created a dedicated toddler and baby area—because the smallest visitors deserve their own adventure too.
Every element was chosen to encourage exploration, movement, and that brilliant chaos that means kids are having the time of their lives.
Opening day proved we’d hit the mark! Planet Volt was instantly busy. Since then, it’s become exactly what the client envisioned: a draw for hotel guests, a favorite for school trips, and a go-to destination for local families. The space that once sat empty now buzzes with energy, laughter, and the kind of repeat business that makes any venue successful.
