At The Play Company, we design and build commercial indoor play equipment that children love and our customers trust. Behind every padded panel, soft play structure, and bespoke installation is a skilled team of Sewing Operatives who bring our designs to life with precision and care.

Based at our UK manufacturing facility in Kingsbridge, our Sewing Operatives play a vital role in the production process — cutting, stitching, and finishing the high-quality soft play components that go into leisure centres, holiday parks, family entertainment centres, and more across the country….and even the world.

We’re proud to manufacture in-house, which means you and the rest of our sewing team will work closely with fabricators and manufacturers to ensure every piece meets our standards for safety, durability, and finish.

We're Operating Our Shifts As Two Teams

Monday – Thursday

6:30 am – 5:00 pm

Full-time hours in 4 days
3-day weekend

Friday – Sunday ( Perfect if you want weekdays free )

06:30 am – 5:00 pm

Work 3 days
4 days off

Who Are We Looking For?

A hands-on, self-motivated team player confident on a walking foot sewing machine and keen to master new equipment, who can work independently, juggle priorities with ease, communicate clearly and champion health and safety.
