Meet The Team
You’ll find a whole range of team members here, from designers to installers, and together we design, install and maintain play areas and play equipment in spaces of every kind, all over the world.
And we still find time for some fun too.
Play hard, work hard, often at the same time.
Directors
Elliott Myattβ
Chief Executive Officerβ
Iβm Elliott, and Iβm the CEO here at the Play Company.
I oversee the whole operation of the business, from the first contact to the final installation.
I love getting out on the road, meeting new people and helping to create incredible play spaces.
When my nose is away from the grindstone, I love going on holiday, exploring Devon, spending time with my partner and being squashed on the rugby pitch.
Guy Heynes
Chief Operating Officer
Hey, Iβm Guy, and Iβve been working with the Play Company since 2016, as the Operations Director.
Iβm all about keeping the operation ship-shape, but the real adrenaline rush for me comes from overseeing the manufacturing of our soft play wonders, and guess what? We create these wonders right here in the heart of the UK, down in beautiful Devon.
When the workday winds down, I trade my spreadsheets for some quality time with our trusty office companion, Doug. And then thereβs my secret passion: Iβm a car enthusiast, so I can often be found fine-tuning a classic beauty or hitting the open road to explore new places.
So, whether itβs optimising our production or getting my hands dirty under the hood, Iβm all about embracing lifeβs adventures.
Adrian Myatt
Co-Founder
Iβm Adrian, and Iβm the βold headβ around here β I head up our operations team down here in Devon; weβre the ones creating everything that ends up in your lovely new play space.
I love getting out on my bike, walking the dogs, picking up litter (seriously, I really do!), and enjoying a pint at the pub.
Rob Christie
Commercial Director
Hey, Iβm Rob, and I work in sales here at the Play Company. I come from a strong background in the indoor play industry, bringing plenty of experience and knowledge of what makes great play spaces work.
I enjoy working closely with customers, understanding their projects, and helping them find the right solutions for their space.
When Iβm not talking play, youβll usually find me watching football or keeping up with the latest results.
Sam Doubleday
Director of Design & Engineering
Iβm Sam, and Iβm the Director of Design and Engineering β I manage the team of in-house designers who create our bespoke softplay and Strike Arena renders.
I love getting technical, working things out and figuring out the finer details that ensure that every project we do is as perfect as possible.
When Iβm off duty, I love a run around Torbay, watching sports and going to the pub.
Debbie Clapp
Operations Director
Debbie brings over 20 years of leadership experience in project management and customer service, with a strong foundation in the renewable energy sector. Having most recently served as an operations Director before joining the team, she has a proven track record of leading teams and delivering complex projects at scale.
Debbie oversees all operational activities, ensuring everything runs smoothly from planning through to delivery.
Outside of work, Debbie enjoys taking time to recharge and spending quality time with family and friends.
Nick Hurst
Chairman
Iβm Nick, and I support the directors at the Play Company as Chairman. Iβve previously founded and grown businesses including Burtβs Crisps and Artemis Optics, giving me a wealth of experience in building successful companies.
I enjoy sharing strategic guidance, offering commercial insight, and helping the business grow in a sustainable and considered way.
When Iβm away from the boardroom, I enjoy applying my experience to new challenges and supporting ambitious teams.
Claire Garman
Executive Assistant
Hey there, Iβm Claire, and Iβve been part of The Play Company crew since February 2023. I now work as EA to the Directors and the Board, supporting the leadership team and helping keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.
My role involves keeping the diaries aligned, priorities in check, and making sure the day-to-day operations at senior level stay organised and on track. Iβm also a friendly point of contact across the business, helping connect the dots where needed.
When Iβm not at work, you can catch me on the badminton court, busting a move at dancercise, or cruising around on my bike. And letβs not forget the walks with my favourite furry friend, Jackson the Cockapoo.
When itβs downtime, Iβm all about quality family time, catching up with friends, and camping under the stars. But donβt get me wrong, I wonβt say no to a fancy hotel and a chance to dress up β who would?
Senior Management
Pete Barretto
Finance Controller
Hi, I’m Pete β The Man Who Makes the Numbers Dance.
Every play company needs someone who keeps the fun financially sound, and that’s exactly where I come in. As Finance Controller, I’m the unsung hero behind every project, making sure the books balance so the builds can happen.
Whether I’m crunching budgets, forecasting growth, or quietly questioning why someone expensed that, I bring order to the organised chaos that comes with running a business built on soft play,Β trampolines and adventure parks. I’ve got a head for figures and, rumour has it, a surprisingly competitive streak on the leaderboard when it comes to cost savings.
In short, the team builds the play equipment, I make sure we can afford to. And frankly, they’d be lost without me.

Nic Robins
Production Managerβ
Hey, Iβm Nic, and Iβm the Production Manager here at the Play Company β I make sure the job gets done by our manufacturing and sewing teams, keeping everything moving from the workshop floor to final dispatch.
My role is all about organisation, quality, and making sure deadlines are met without cutting corners. I work closely with the team to ensure every piece that leaves the factory meets our standards and is ready for installation.
When Iβm not overseeing production, youβll probably find me making sure the office snack supply is fully stocked β thereβs always a steady stream of sweets and treats nearby. Outside of work, I enjoy unwinding, spending time with family and friends, and recharging for the next busy production run.
Adam Kardasz
Design Manager
Hey! Iβm Adam, the remotely based Design Manager here at The Play Company.
While I might not always be in the office, Iβm very much in the details…. bringing ideas to life from afar.
With a background in inflatables and trampolines, Iβve spent years designing spaces that bounce, stretch, and generally defy gravity.
At TPC, I make sure our designs look great, work brilliantly, and are ready to turn big ideas into even bigger fun.
Marketing & Admin
Samuel Whittington
Videographer & Photographer
Iβm the video guy, and Iβm responsible for all our content here at the Play Company, and I love it.
I get to go here, there and everywhere, shooting videos, taking pictures and bringing our sites to life.
Oh, and I do plenty of chauffeuring our MD, Elliott.
Off the clock, I take street photography, dance lessons and walking in the beautiful Devon countryside.
If you see me snapping away some time, ask me about the time I went to France, just to buy a mobile phoneβ¦
Linzi Hooton
Business Support
Hi, I’m Linzi The One Who Keeps Everything Moving!
If there’s a flight to book, an event to plan, or a diary that needs wrangling…well, I’m already on it. I keep our travel, events, and company coordination running smoothly β and after eight years running my own ecommerce business, juggling a hundred tasks at once is very much my comfort zone.
Outside of work, I’m a busy mum of two and a certified advanced open water scuba diver. Life is either full throttle, chauffeuring the kids between endless activities, or blissfully peaceful, thirty feet below the ocean’s surface, where my only task is to breathe.
It’s probably no coincidence I ended up in a role built around travel. It’s not just a job perk, it’s a genuine passion.
Daisy Mulberry
Sales Support
Hi Iβm Daisy, otherwise known as the glue who keeps the sales team running smoothly!
Iβm generally the first person you speak to when you contact the sales side of the business and am always on hand to answer your questions as your order is created.
Outside of work, I am CEO of my amazing daughterβs social and activity calendar (and my husbands for that matter). We spend as much time as we can outdoors, travelling or doing some-kind-of-fitness. I plan to join my husband, doing a hyrox together by the end of the year!
However, thereβs also nothing I love more than snuggling all together on the sofa with our two cats watching a Disney movie!
Fun fact? My party trick is opening a bottle of champagne with a large knife (preferably a sword). Cover your eyes!!!
Design Team - Creative
Danny McAlisterβ
Creative Designer
Iβm Danny, better known here at The Play Company as βDanadrylβ or βGavβ β donβt ask why.
Iβm the CAD guy here, which means turning sketches into proper plans, and working out what can go where and how to maximise the space.
When Iβm not dragging and dropping, Iβm a mechanics enthusiast, a sailor, a kayaker and a serious fan of pubs.
Emmeline Footitt
Creative Designer
Hey Iβm Emmeline but most people call me βEmβ, and I am one of the many creative designers here.
I joined The Play Company in 2024 having previously designed and shown off interiors, so you might be able to tell if they look nicer when I do them.
I love to explore and see new places, having traveled the world I still find myself coming back to Devon which is where I am based now.
Sam Moore
Creative Designer
Hi, Iβm Sam Moore, Creative Designer here at Play Company International!
I jumped straight into this role after studying product design at Cardiff Metropolitan University, keeping up that post-grad momentum to hit the ground running.
When Iβm not creating here, youβll find me catching waves or chilling at the beach (Iβm a bit of a surf enthusiast).
Oh, and a fun factβ Iβm also a proud owner of two goats! They keep me grounded, though I havenβt managed to convince the team to let them join a meeting just yet!
Sinead Barlow
Creative Designer
Hey, Iβm Sinead, a Creative Designer here.
My journey started at Cardiff Metropolitan University, where I studied interior design. I then also had the chance to do some work experience with the ( play company ) team before officially joiningβthough Iβll admit, Iβve done my fair share of cleaning jobs too!
When Iβm not working on creative projects, I love spending time with family and friends. They keep me grounded, and we always find a way to have a laugh.
Speaking of laughs, hereβs something funny about me: My friends have actually created a βSinead Dictionaryβ full of sayings and expressions I tend to get just slightly wrong. Itβs become a bit of an inside joke, and honestly, I think itβs pretty accurate!
Luke Hughes
Creative Designer
Hi, Iβm Luke, and I am one of the Creative Designers on the Play Company Team. My role involves creating creative, fun, and technical designs. Helping transform our clients indoor play concepts into practical, visually stunning solutions.
Before joining the team, I worked as a Technical Advisor, which gave me a solid foundation for the technical side of my work today.
When Iβm not designing, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, watching sports, and sipping on a good cocktail β Iβm always up for trying something new!
Iβve also played Rugby for Devon RFC and had the opportunity to share the pitch with a few of the current Exeter Chiefs players. Itβs an experience Iβll always be proud of.
Design Team - Technical
Cam Thorns
Manufacturing Engineer
Hey, Iβm Cam,Β Manufacturing Engineer here at The Play Company, responsible for making sure every indoor play system that leaves the building is built right, built safe, and built to last.
Iβm heavily involved in the behind-the-scenes stuff: testing, refining, problem-solving, and constantly R&Dβing new ideas to push our play systems forward.
Think calm head, sharp eye, and a healthy obsession with getting things just right.
When Iβm not engineering safer, smarter play, Iβm usually behind a drum kit, living out my metalhead alter ego and keeping time in a band.
Aiden Barrett
Design Engineer
Hey there! Iβm Aiden, one of the Design Engineers on the team.
Before I found my way into engineering, I was a Kitchen Shift Leader at JD Wetherspoon, but during my university days, I dove deep into some pretty cool design projects, like creating an autonomous boat and working on rollercoaster safety features. Those experiences really fuelled my passion for design and problem-solving.
When Iβm not tinkering with our soft play designs, youβll find me either on the football pitch, watching a match, or getting lost in a video gameβ¦..basically anything that involves kicking a ball or pressing some buttons!
And hereβs a fun little party trick: I can lick my elbow. Yep, itβs weird, but it always gets a laugh!
Charlie Wright
Design Engineer
Hi, Iβm Charlie!
Iβm a CAD Engineer on the Design Team, and I plan to grow into a mechanical or structural engineering role. I aim to help the team tackle structural calculations for our frames and take on new challenges in the design process.
Before joining the team, I worked as a building services engineer at Gale & Snowden Architects. Prior to that, I designed electric motors at Dana TM4, where I honed my skills in structural calculationsβexperience thatβs already proving invaluable in my current role.
Outside of work, I stay active by running, swimming, and hitting the gym. I also have a creative side and love painting.
Oh, and a fun fact about me? Iβm a twin!
Joe Clayton
Design Engineer
Hey, Iβm Joe, part of the engineering team at The Play Company.
My background spans kitchen design, point cloud surveying, CAD engineering, and CNC operation. That mix has given me a strong blend of creative thinking and practical engineering, which I now bring into designing fun, engaging play environments.
Outside of work, Iβm usually outdoors, mountain biking, hiking, or anything with a bit of adrenaline, including motorbikes. I also spend a lot of time building highly detailed scale models, from 3D modelling through to paper craft.
I tend to get completely absorbed in making things. Whether itβs a detailed model or a full-scale design, Iβm usually happiest when Iβm building something from scratch.
Graphic Design Team
Esther Jones
Graphic Designer
Hi, I am Esther, the graphic designer at The Play Company. I specialise in creating custom graphics for soft play spaces, collaborating closely with clients to match their brandβs colours, fonts, and style, ensuring a seamless fit in their play areas.
Beyond play frames, I design brochures, project timelines, and engaging social media graphics. My passion for creating bespoke artwork adds a unique touch to our family-friendly environment.
Iβm fortunate to be the creative force that turns childhood dreams into lifelong memories.
Olly Gagg
Junior Graphic Designer
I started at The Play Company after graduating from Cardiff Met in 2025 where I gained a keen eye for detail and explored how graphic design can create an immersive experience across a variety of projects. I enjoy being able to explore these skills further in my position here and aim to create artwork for play areas thatβs exciting, interactive and a place younger me wouldβve been hooked on.
Outside of work I enjoy cycling and being outdoors as much as possible! P.S. Iβm also a big fan of the Great British Bake off!
Project Management & Procurement
Ben Vleminckx
Project Manager
I’m Ben, one of the Project Managers here at The Play Company.
Before joining the team, I worked as a producer and project manager for a range of arts and cultural organisations, including the National Trust and Theatre Royal Plymouth.
I am also a drummer and played professionally for 8 years.
When I am not spinning millions of plates in my project management world, you can find me down at the allotment, watching the rugby or at soft play areas with my two children.Β
Bryony May
Project Manager
Hi, Iβm Bryony May, a Project Manager with a background in the pharmaceutical sector, delivering office and clinic environments where precision, compliance and tight timelines are all part of the job.
That experience has given me a calm, solutions-focused approach to project management and the ability to keep multiple moving parts running smoothly.
Outside of work youβll usually find me chasing waves, hanging 10 on my longboard or soaking up family life by the beautiful Cornish coast.
Mike Hannifin
Assistant Project Manager
Meet Mike, our dynamic Project Coordinator!
With experience in project management, process improvement, business development, and sales, Mike is ready to make an impact by optimizing processes and expanding into project management.

Outside of work, life is full-on with a wife, two kids, two cats and a dog. Free time is rare for me, but when I find some, I love coding games for my kids, diving into video games, or chipping away at a Fantasy/Sci-Fi novel series Iβve been writing for 17 years (yes, itβs a serious labour of love!).
A fun fact about me? My favourite animal is the echidna. Why? Because itβs natureβs ultimate oddballβa mammal that lays eggs. How cool is that?
Warehouse Team
John Springett
Warehouse Operative
Hi, Iβm John, another one of the Warehouse Operatives on the team.
I joined after a tough breakβliterally. A back injury had me sidelined for a while, but now Iβm back on my feet (and the forklift), ready to keep the warehouse running smoothly. Speaking of forklifts, Iβm fully licensed, so if it needs lifting, Iβm your go-to-guy!
Outside of work, Iβm all about bikesβriding them, fixing them, and dreaming of my next two-wheeled adventure. Oh, and hereβs a fun fact: Iβve never been clubbing, and Iβm 25! But honestly, who needs a nightclub when youβve got the open road and a bike?
